The Auxiliary
Arms of Love and Service
The Auxiliary of St. Paul's was established in 1973 with the mission to provide financial support to St. Paul's through fundraising efforts in order to purchase items that enhance the lives of residents. The efforts support the mission of St. Paul's as well — to provide health care, meaning, and richness of life to all those who seek St. Paul's services.
Since its inception, The Auxiliary of St. Paul's has raised nearly $650,000 and has funded projects including a courtyard for Jones Serenity Circle called The Garden of Love, furnishings for The Villas, restrooms for OD Anderson Pavilion, spas in personal care, a pergola on the patio at The Heritage, a custom 14-passenger bus equipped with a wheelchair lift to take residents to appointments, out for errands, on trips and to events, among other outings.
A recent project supported by The Auxiliary is an outdoor area near the fountain courtyard between The Villas and The Heritage. The large shade umbrella was handmade by artisans at EdenGarden Patio Umbrellas in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The heavy duty umbrella is constructed to withstand inclement weather and is made of specially-treated, galvanized steel that is impervious to rust. The wind vents in the canopy allow for air flow and the umbrella can be lowered using an easy-to-operate hand crank. Residents and their visitors love this new addition to St. Paul’s campus!
