PA OH Gives 2024 Results

This year's PA OH Gives "Giving Week," held from June 22-28, was hailed as a success, netting more than $40,000 for St. Paul's Good Samaritan Fund for benevolent care.

In its fifth year, this virtual giving event hosted by the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH continues to make a significant impact for local nonprofits in the region.

St. Paul's encourages donors to participate in PA OH Gives to tap into the $150,000 in matching funds available to amplify the impact of their gift.

"Our donors love this event," said Dawn Hartman, Director of Strategic Giving. "They get excited about helping earn the matching funds for St. Paul's! It's free money that we wouldn't have had otherwise for our benevolent care program."

With 77 charities participating in PA OH Gives this year and a phenomenal $1 million raised overall, the match amount for each dollar donated was around 17%. St. Paul's finished the week ranked at #8 for most money raised.

"We really do have the most incredible and dedicated donors. Time and again they step up for the residents at St. Paul's," said Hartman. "They truly make our charitable mission possible every day."

During the week, 114 generous donors contributed for St. Paul's, raising a total of $39,598.43. With the matching funds and a special challenge bonus for having the most unique donors in a 24-hour period, St. Paul's received a grand total of $40,598.43 for benevolent care.
