Mary Jones, Care Partner for Without Walls Home-based Services, received the Staff Extra Effort Award; Kelly Griffith, Dining Aide at The Villas received the Staff Dining Award; Mimi Dreher, Director of Life Enrichment at The Villas received the Staff Leader Award; and Mike Allen, Life Enrichment Coordinator for Jones Serenity Lane, received the Staff Newcomer Award.
These awards are traditionally presented annually and seek to recognize and show appreciation for staff that improve and enrich the lives of the residents at St. Paul's Senior Living Community. The Hazel L. Shaffer Endowment Fund Award was established in 2012 by the Shaffer family as a result of the "wonderful care Hazel Shaffer received from the dining staff while a resident at the former health center, now The Heritage."
The four winners were selected from thirty-two team members who were nominated for awards this year. Nominations are collected throughout the year from employees, residents and resident family members.
David Reeves, Chair of the St. Paul’s Board of Directors gave welcome remarks and said, “What stands out to me initially is the number of team members who were nominated. And what continues to impress and amaze me and the board is the dedication of the entire team here, especially through what was such a very difficult time.”
Chris Wright, CEO and President closed with event remarks and stated, “As difficult as these last few years have been, our team pulled together to get through the pandemic. We are grateful and blessed to work with all of these people.”
